We are looking for a dynamic individual, with plenty of personality - who knows how to sell and has an eye for compliance, to join our Transport Team. Previous experience in our specialist haulage industry would be preferred but not essential.
There is always a 'buzz' of activity in our transport office, with no two days being the same. We operate a reactive business and have to supply transport solutions at the drop of a hat Sometimes its hectic in here, but there is always time for tea break and some office banter
Working in an open plan office, you will join our experienced team, most of which have been with Kings for many years.
Daily tasks include:
- Answer calls and deal with new and existing customers
- Route planning and notifying of abnormal loads
- Liaise frequently with customers regarding future forecast movements
- Produce driver job sheets and associated paperwork when required
- Work closely with subcontractors to cover work and maintain profit
- Fuel monitoring and ordering, dealing with fuel receipts and invoices
- Fuel card registration and distribution
- Assist Sales Manager with sales related matters, audits and questionnaires
- Liaising with the planning desk are aware of any relevant information
- Create lift plans and risk assessments as required
- Contact our back load network to avoid empty running trucks
- Create new customer accounts as required
- Create supplier accounts as required
- Create and send proforma invoices as required
- Keep up to date with supplier insurances
- Assist the planning desk as and when required
- Assist out on the road or in the yard when required
- Keep customer folders up to date with all relevant info and requirements
- Booking on jobs
- Site & Customer visits
- Project Management
- Liaising with Police forces and local authorities
- Ensuring our compliance in many areas of the business
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
