The Crown Estate is looking for a pioneering leader in sustainability reporting to make a lasting impact on the future of responsible business practices. We are seeking an exceptional individual to drive transparency, innovation, and data-driven reporting methodologies in our pursuit of corporate sustainability and ESG excellence. As part of our Sustainability Reporting team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data collection systems, producing compelling content, and communicating our sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Sustainability Reporting team to support data and reporting requirements, ensuring accurate disclosure of our sustainability and ESG performance, including regulatory disclosures.
- Lead the enterprise-level accounting, analysis, and reporting of carbon emissions (Scope 1 to 3), contributing to our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Play a key role in the year-end assurance process, working closely with external auditors, data aggregators, and the wider TCE team to deliver the Annual Report in compliance with regulatory standards, including the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
- Proactively engage with colleagues across the organisation to develop robust sustainability and ESG processes, enhancing the completeness and rigor of data collection.
- Drive year-on-year improvements in data and reporting, developing insightful reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of new data collection processes and impact measurements, such as social impact, waste, water, and biodiversity reporting.
- Ensure data and reporting disclosures align with external regulatory requirements, championing best practices and continuous reporting development.
- Manage third-party relationships as required.
- Take responsibility for limited administration tasks, such as arranging payments and monitoring budgets.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as opportunities and needs arise.

**Requirements**:

- Technical expertise in carbon accounting, footprinting, baselining, reporting, and management, including the analysis of direct and indirect greenhouse emissions, following relevant regulations and industry standards such as Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), GHG Protocol, and Defra Guidance.
- Knowledge of Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use Emissions requirements and reporting in line with best practices
- Experience working with net-zero data sets in real estate, rural, marine, or supply chain contexts would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with the latest sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including integrated reporting.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary organisations, using stakeholder management and engagement skills to deliver cross-functional reporting work with external parties.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets to derive meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated experience in creating high-quality, accurate, and robust reports and analysis within a commercial environment.
