**Title**: Event Operations Assistant

**Reports to**: Group Manager

**Based at**: The Arches, Ground Floor E Mill, Dean Clough, Halifax, HX3 5AX

**The Role**: To manage and facilitate all operations and functionality within The Arches

**Hours Per Week**: 24, with opportunity for overtime during busy periods

**Wage**: Minimum Wage

**Start Date**: ASAP

**THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE SOME EVENING AND WEEKEND WORK AND REQUIRES FLEXIBLE WORKING; IT WON’T ALWAYS BE THE SAME HOURS EVERY WEEK**

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:(these duties will vary greatly from day-to-day)
- Client Liaison - working with the client to make sure they have all they need
- Stock & Cellar Management
- Bar Maintenance & Set-Up
- Venue Maintenance & Set-Up
- Liaison with external suppliers - organising the delivery and collection of various venue and client suplliers
- Working with the Office to manage the all pre-event administration
- Attend Training, where relevant, to develop knowledge and skills
- Event Work - will be required to work some events as part of core hours with lots of opportunity for overtime.
- Working to all Arches Policies & Procedures
- Awareness of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations
- Any other duties that may be necessary/appropriate within the scope of the business

**Title**:Event Operations Assistant

**Skills/Abilities**

**Essential**
- Ability to listen, learn and work hard as part of a team
- Ability to regularly lift heavy goods following The Arches Manual Handling Procedure

**Desirable**
- Experience in Cellar Management and/or working behind a Bar
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience of Building Maintenance - an advantage to be good at DIY or have trade experience

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- We do not believe that qualifications are a prerequisite for this position. We are more interested in the right person with the right aptitude who will be a good fit for our team.

**Desirable**
- Maths & English GCSE
- Food Hygiene Certificate
