Join us in making a difference An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Corporate Business Support service as a Senior Administrative Support Officer to Social Workers where you will be part of our dedicated business support team supporting children’s social workers.

In this role, you will provide exceptional administrative support to children's social workers, with a focus on the safeguarding teams.

You'll be part of our innovative approach to support social workers in achieving better outcomes for our city's vulnerable children, young people, and families.

Working closely with social workers, you'll assist in managing their caseloads, fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including service users and partner agencies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring social work team duty phone lines and mailboxes.
- Managing social workers' diaries, scheduling meetings and appointments in line with statutory requirements.
- Handling queries from stakeholders on behalf of social workers.
- Completing financial requests on behalf of social workers.
- Making referrals to partner agencies on behalf of social workers.

**Key Skills Required**:

- Proficient in drafting correspondence on behalf of social workers.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
- Knowledgeable about GDPR regulations.
- Capable of adapting to frequently changing priorities and recognising potential safeguarding concerns.
- Skilled in utilising ICT systems and databases to maintain high-quality data.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
