Position Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs in their educational and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and contribute to their success.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for students
- Support students in developing their social and emotional skills
- Monitor and manage challenging behaviours in a constructive manner
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create tailored support plans
- Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- A genuine passion for helping students with SEMH challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
- A relevant qualification or willingness to work towards one
