We’re looking for a dedicated Research Inclusion Officer to join our Peer Review and Research Integrity team on a permanent basis.

**Role Overview**

As a Research Inclusion Officer, you will define and set clear goals for IOP Publishing in relation to inclusion and equity for editorial stakeholders, working with others to develop and implement initiatives to help the business meet those goals. We aim to improve diversity when it comes to authors, reviewers and board members across our journals, as well as to ensure that the content we publish is inclusive and respectful. As part of this varied role, you’ll work with multiple teams across the business to ensure our goals and objectives are met and promoted.

**What will you be doing?**

**Key job accountabilities include**:

- Influence and deliver our strategy for improving diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) within the publication process;
- Work collaboratively with other publishing departments to ensure DE&I is frequently considered and factored into current and new initiatives;
- Educate staff and stakeholders in DE&I issues and strategies;
- Analyse and report on our DE&I performance within the business;
- Manage the externally facing DE&I content on our website;
- Work with stakeholders to ensure the content we publish is inclusive;
- Establish IOP Publishing as a leading voice on research inclusion within both the academic community and the publishing industry.

**This is not an HR role, and this person would not be expected to work on issues relating to people processes or culture within IOP Publishing, e.g. recruiting a diverse workforce. This role is firmly tied to ensuring our products, services and experiences are representative of a diverse scientific community.**

**About you**:
Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrable experience within an academic publishing or academic support setting;
- A keen interest in DE&I;
- Experience identifying, analysing and interpreting trends or patterns in data;
- Experience creating and/or delivering training ;
- Experience managing small-medium sized projects;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Previous attendance of DE&I courses would be beneficial but are not essential.

**Flexible Working**:
