**Summary**
- Walton Street Cycles is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our busy team. _
- The role offered is a mechanic position focusing on all aspects of the bicycle industry but with more focus on bicycle repairs. It will be based within our main workshop, and mobile repair areas._
- We are looking for someone who wants to develop their career within the cycle industry and gain valuable experience in a forward-thinking cycle shop and hire business. The role will entail working directly within our busy workshop, repairing bikes, assisting the shop front supervisor liaise with customers and keep shop, and also assisting the mobile bike mechanics at various off-site events - where we bring our professional workshop to external locations. _
- Overall, we want someone friendly and hardworking who has a genuine passion for cycling. We are a sociable bunch and have fun while we work. _
- We specialise in all types of bikes and cycling, and we get to see all of the latest product on the market as well as very early technology. We take pride in being able to fix anything. _
- Our current new bike brands include; Brompton, Scott, Raleigh, Pashley, Kona, Gazelle, Dawes, Claud Butler, Roland & PUKY but take pride in being able to fix anything. _

**Responsibilities**
- _Assessing and repairing customers bikes_
- _Building new bikes _
- _Maintaining hire bike fleet _
- _Reconditioning used bikes _
- _Liaising with customers about their requirements (both repairs and sales)_
- _Working with and eventually running mobile ‘Bike Dr’ events_
- _Assisting customers find the best solution for their cycling requirements _
- _Assisting cycle tours and cycle rentals _

We run a very busy shop, rental fleet, tours and workshop taking pride in our repairs, we believe in honest hard work and providing ongoing training and development skills for all members of staff - we want our team to be the best and invest in achieving this. _

- Used bikes can be sold through the shop but must be completed in personal time and offered with a 3-month guarantee._

- _Holiday entitlement is 28 days calculated pro-rata on full pay per annum. We are open on bank holidays and anytime off will need to be booked in advance._
