We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join a global organisation based in Scarborough. A salary of up to £30,000 is on offer with an enhanced pension scheme, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), a buy & sell holiday scheme, Privatehealthcare and health cash plan.
This role can be a hybrid position, with travel to Scarborough occasionally.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will work as part of a team supporting the business in the smooth and efficient processing of the weekly payrolls and expense claims.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities as a Payroll Specialist will include:

- Validating and maintaining employee attendance information
- Working closely with HR and managers to identify anomalies and resolve queries
- Distributing weekly and monthly reports to the relevant teams for both payroll and expenses
- Supporting the pensions team with queries
- Accurately input employee pay data into the payroll system to support the weekly payroll preparation
- Assisting with specific travel and expenses queries
- Supporting the wider team and completing supportive administrative duties
- Other ad hoc duties, as required
To be successful in this Payroll Specialist opportunity you will ideally have/be:

- Previous payroll experience
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and tax regulations
- Confident in using software such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work to strict deadlines
- Experience in both weekly and monthly payroll, as well as a grounded understanding of shift work and patterns
