We are seeking to recruit a full time Band 8c Consultant Psychologist to provide Clinical Leadership and Management for psychologistsworking across our Rehabilitation and Recovery (R&R) Service.

The R&R service is comprised of a Low Secure Unit (a 28 bedded adult male unit based in Bridgend); Prison Inreach team; Locked Rehabilitation Service (18 bedded adult male unit), two Step Down Houses and Community Forensic Service within Swansea Bay University Healthboard (SBU HB).

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the leadership planning, provision and review of psychology services for R&R. The post holder will work in partnership with SBUHB Professional Lead for Psychology and be responsible for leading and contributing to the delivery of R&R services for people experiencing serious mental health issues and risky behaviours.

This will include supporting the ongoing development of R&R psychology services.

The post will include carrying a highly specialist caseload and supervision of others delivering psychology assessment, formulation and/or interventions.

The post holder will provide management to a team of qualified, assistant and trainee psychologists.
To lead / oversee service improvement projects and contribute to service evaluation and/audit and supporting others in their research / evaluation

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
