We have an exciting opportunity to join the Sainsbury's Trading team as a Buyer within the Beauty category, in our Grocery division. You’ll report into the Buying Manager, who will guide you to develop your buying and selling strategies, support you in negotiations with key suppliers, and provide effective coaching to develop your skills and achieve outstanding results. It’s a fast-paced retail environment where you will be able to thrive working with a large FMCG supplier base and a variety of cross functional teams including senior stakeholders.

This Buyer role requires you to lead, optimise and execute the buying and selling strategies for Men's Toiletries, Shaving & Deodorants resulting in sustainably growing your sales (circa £130million), market share and profit. You’ll be able to review the transformational potential with the opportunity to define and lead on the strategy for Men's Toiletries, Shaving & Deodorants.

**As a Buyer you'll**:

- Know and understand the market and the category performance.
- Develop and execute a customer focused category plan in line with the Sainsbury’s corporate strategy.
- Influence key stakeholders to gain commitment to the plan.
- Lead relevant cross functional projects through to delivery.
- Work with the range analyst to build an appropriate product range that delivers a market-leading commercial advantage.
- Implement pricing & promotional strategies in line with product hierarchy guidelines.
- Negotiate optimum product cost through a thorough understanding of the end-to-end supply chain.
- Support the Own Brand team to drive commercially favourable NPD development.
- With the support of your Buying Manager, line manage C4 buyers.
