**OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED WELDER TO PROGRESS TO TOP RATES OF PAY**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Identify, communicate and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and measure their effectiveness.
Organise and plan daily work and record work carried out through computer based data capture system as instructed.
Tack and final weld steel using a three phase MIG welder as per standard operating procedure.
Move and position components/products using overhead crane or other lifting equipment as provided and in accordance with instruction given.
Work within the internal quality system, ensure that optimum performance and required quality standards are maintained through to finished product stage.
To interpret Engineering Drawings and confirm adherence to specification using calibrated measuring instruments and templates.
Clean and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order and in peak production condition.
Contribute to the development of improvements to working methods.
In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all health & safety systems and standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to and drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general housekeeping.
Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Managing Director.
**REPORTING TO**:Production Manager/Supervisor
**JOB PURPOSE**:To carry out a variety of fitting and welding related activities within the workshop enabling manufacturing requirements to be met in the most effective and efficient manner and ensuring orders are processed on time.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
