**Pastry Chef**

**Salary**:£22k

**Hours of work**:Monday to Wednesday 8:30am-10:30pm/11:00pm

**Location**:Reading

Our prestigious client is currently recruiting for an experienced pastry chef to join their busy, fast-paced team. You will be responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with all team members. Help foster a good working relationship with allfellow colleagues within the company.

**The role**:

- As a Commis Pastry Chef, you are expected to help run the pastry section in a responsible manner
- Assist the pastry Chef in the day to day running of the section
- Ensure that the day's tasks as set by the Pastry Chef are carried out efficiently and effectively while maintaining the standards of the kitchen
- Assist the Pastry Chef with ideas for new dishes that company's and customer's expectations
- Understand how you can affect influence profit and loss results
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the financial targets outlined within the kitchen budget

**The person**:

- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to pick up things fast
- Previous experience in managing a team
