We have a fantastic opportunity for a **Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Lead** to join our team. This role can be based in Taunton or Yeovil and involves cross-county travel. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£29,000 per annum**.
You won’t just be joining a fantastic team - you’ll **be part of a welcoming, community minded charity**. Our mission is to provide excellent specialist palliative care for patients and support to their families. Everyone here contributes and has a part to play towards our goal. So, if you’re looking for a role where you can really make a difference, working as part of a supportive team, we could be a perfect match.
**What can you expect to be doing?**
As our go to expert on volunteer recruitment, you will work closely with teams across the hospice to identity and meet their recruitment needs, providing specialist advice and guidance.
This is a role where you will really be able to shape the volunteer recruitment process. We'll look to you for creative ideas and guidance on how to streamline and improve the overall recruitment and onboarding experience for volunteers and their managers.
A key part of the job will be to build and maintain recruitment networks in the local community. From businesses to clubs to schools and colleges, you will champion volunteering, engaging and motivating people to apply.
The role includes attending recruitment events and fairs, occassionally on evening and weekends, to promote volunteering opportunities, build networks, and develop partnerships. Working flexibly, the role will also take you to different Hospice locations across county, including our retail spaces.
**What will you be good at?**
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Have specialist recruitment expertise, with an established network of recruitment and community contacts
- Have in-depth knowledge of the volunteer market and sector trends
- Be able to provide flexible solutions in response to changing recruiter requirements
- Be a confident, enthusiastic ‘people person’ with a positive attitude
