Patient Transfer Liaison Assistant

We are recruiting for a Patient Transfer Liaison Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patient
You will be joining our new Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) at Lister Hospital. Our SAU provides a specialised service for the rapid assessment and treatment of a variety of surgical complications covering several specialties.
In this role you will support the nursing staff with the transfer of patients to/from SAU as instructed by the Manager or nurse in charge.
This role will be ideal for someone would good eye for detail and great customer service skills.

As a Patient Transfer Liaison Assistant your main day to day responsibilities will be
- To undertake the transportation of patients to and from the Unit to other clinical areas within the hospital and assist with the transfer of patients from trolley to trolley/bed.
- Collection of medical devices etc from EBME and transport to SAU.
- Collection and transportation of pathology specimens, x-rays, pharmacy
- supplies, parcels, letters and ad-hoc small items
- Assist sorting stocking of stores and preparing patients areas e.g making beds, cleaning room equipment and furniture
- Carry out ancillary duties of a general nature such as furniture removals, transfer of equipment to other areas of the hospital
- Assembly and basic maintenance of equipment as necessary
- Deal with general enquires from staff, patients, visitors and members of the general public in a helpful and courteous manne
