Optics Test Engineer

Walter Everett is a recruitment agency and we are currently helping our client to hire a number of Optic Test Engineers

You will be helping to test state of the art smart home and consumer electronic equipment

What you'll do:
Responsible for hardware testing and producing test reports
Maintain and develop automation test tools to improve overall test efficiency.
Support the Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation.
Create and develop test plans and procedures to encompass both existing and upcoming hardware capabilities.

What you'll bring:
Experience in

- using test and validation methodology and scripts to test Cameras, hardware and/or systems/platforms would be advantageous.
An understanding of basic optics and camera functioning.
An understanding of how to sort and present test data to illustrate outcome of testing and recommendations.
Experience in working with developers to design test cases for new products/technology
Experience using testing tools such as lux meters or climate chambers would be desirable.
Experience in problem solving
Experience in summarising technical information with varying levels of detail, depending on audience
Some experience in managing a test workstack would be desirable
