This post is a rare and exciting opportunity to work somewhere completely different - an immigration removal centre.

This post involves working within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary care, but with a difference.

Previous experience of working in an immigration removal centre is especially desirable, but not essential. You will benefit from an extensive supernumerary period, access to a full range of training and be encouraged to develop your skills within this role.

1. Undertake clinical observations, report abnormalities and document on System One accurately

1. Follow appropriate infection prevention and control guidelines in order to protect themselves, colleagues and residents

1. Assist in the provision of clinics including phlebotomy, ECGs and smoking cessation in line with their skills & proficiencies

1. Participate in resident screenings with healthcare colleagues

1. Be able to maintain accurate, timely and legible records of resident’s care, including data input and statistical information, as required

1. To contribute to the ordering, distribution, stock control and maintenance of healthcare equipment and resources

1. Will participate in booking appointments, assist in the scanning of resident’s information and to participate in all aspects of healthcare admin duties

1. Participate in health promotion events

1. Managing ordering for the department.

1. Lead with the nursing team on venapuncture and vaccinations.
2. To take responsibility for completion of basic assessment processes under the supervision of the relevant members of the MDT

1. To work autonomously as well as part of the team.
