We are looking for a Workshop supervisor
- plating biased, you'll be at the heart of the action, providing hands-on support and technical guidance to our shop floor.
Your role won't be confined to just supervising; you'll be right there in the midst of fabricating daily. Collaboration is key. Working closely with our Workshop Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in planning and executing projects. Safety is paramount, and you'll ensure that our Health & Safety standards align with both our company and client expectations. Leading by example, you'll manage teams on the frontline, ensuring performance, conduct, and quality meet the high standards we're known for. Your leadership will help maintain our stellar reputation.
**Responsibilities-**
- Install and repair components, machinery and subassemblies using the appropriate material and techniques in line with the designated drawing, specification and trade.
- To uphold this overall responsibility, the following job activities will be completed efficiently and effectively:
- Manufacture: Using design drawings manufacture items required to the client’s specification, ensuring that the correct material, finish, technique and equipment / machinery is used in line with the industry and business standards.
- Installation: In line with client requirements fabricate, install and commission where necessary plant, equipment and services at designated sites.
- Repair: In line with client requirements undertake any repair works, contributing to diagnostic work as appropriate
- Health & Safety: Ensure you maintain a healthy and safe working environment, reporting any issues and concerns to your line manager and / or Health & Safety team. This includes machinery, tools, equipment, PPE and general working environment both in the workshop and out on site.
- Safety Checks: Ensure that all scheduled checks for static and portable equipment being used is completed.
**Skills-**
- Time served apprenticeship in relevant trade
- Safety Passport
- Equipment licences / training as appropriate. This list is non-exhaustive, and may include other duties designated as appropriate to the role.
Monday-Friday, 8am-4.30pm with early finish of 3.30pm on Fridays
Salary
- £42k
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £42,466.00 per year
