Location: Pembrokeshire. The role is based within our 2 offices in Haverfordwest, Pembroke Dock and various outreach locations to deliver advice to families.

**Salary**: £21,723 per annum FTE (trainee), £20,549 actual.

**Salary will increase to £23,341 FTE (£22,079 actual) on completion of training.**

Hours: 35 per week

Interview date: 27th February 2023

Start date: As soon as possible.

**Overview of Citizens Advice**

The Citizens Advice service is made up of Citizens Advice - the national charity - and a network of around 250 local Citizens Advice members.

This role sits within our network of independent charities, delivering services from over 600 local Citizens Advice outlets over 1,800 community centres, GPs’ surgeries and prisons

They do this with:

- 6,500 local staff
- over 23,000 trained volunteers

Our reach means 99% of people in England and Wales can access a local Citizens Advice within a 30-minute drive of where they live.

**Welfare Rights & Financial Wellbeing Team**

A shared systems approach to addressing poverty and improving financial wellbeing for families and young people in Pembrokeshire.

Citizens Advice Pembrokeshire (CAP)will deliver high quality, person-centred welfare rights and income maximisation support to families and young people living or working in Pembrokeshire.

This post of Co-ordinator will lead on establishing and developing the project. We will also employ two Advisers at 35 hours per week.

This project will empower participants to maximise their income, manage their money effectively, and take responsibility for their own financial decisions.

In order to achieve this, we will develop a multi-agency approach alongside existing and emerging anti-poverty initiatives in schools and community.

The Co-ordinator position will lead on setting up the required systems, building relationships, and developing the project’s work plan, evaluation and reporting framework, as per the project’s mobilization and implementation plan.

**The role**

The Co-ordinator/Adviser will lead on establishing and developing the project.

To establish the project, we will proactively work with family support services, schools, and other services to establish a plan to deliver income maximisation and welfare benefits advice to families. As the project develops, the focus of the project may extend to include young people under 25.

As part of a multi-partnership approach of this project, the Co-ordinator/Adviser will be responsible for liaising with partner groups and for generating interest in the uptake of project services.

The Co-ordinator will also be responsible for generating all reports required and collating client stories to highlight the real experiences of the project’s clients.

After training, the Co-ordinator /Adviser will take account of clients’ varied experiences/capability and address the issues that are most important to them.

**Role profile**

**Developing and ensuring the ongoing delivery of a welfare rights and financial wellbeing programme**
- Maintain effective working relationship with designated stakeholders within the Council’s Social Services and Education Directorates and other departments
- Establish and maintain robust monitoring, evaluation and reporting arrangements.
- Work with young people to co-design programme and resources content, to ensure we are flexible and responsive to the needs of under 25s.

**Referral and Support**
- Ensure each client’s journey is person-centred and encapsulating a seamless and integrated response to their issues.
- Monitor all referrals to and from the Project and ensur
