Ensure the efficient operation of the Storage Suites and / or Off-site Warehousing, ensure all activities are performed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations. Storage Suites include Biorepositories, ICH Stability Storage, Ambient Storage, Thermal Cycling Storage and Photostability Testing.

The Senior Storage Assistant will be fully competent in all skill requirements and able to train / lead others.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform sample receipt activities of incoming commodities in a safe manner and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Receiving, moving, labelling and storing incoming goods to GMP standards. This includes handling biological samples at various temperatures.
- Check and inspect goods received, ensuring they are of accurate and acceptable quantity, type and quality prior to storing.
- Assemble, pack and label products to GMP standards prior to dispatch.
- Ensure all inventory processes are completed on the required day.
- Contact courier companies and coordinate dispatch and delivery as required.
- Communicate with clients on a day to day basis.
- Prepare or review quality documents including standard forms, study protocols, SOPs, change controls and deviations.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Be an active member of the out of hours on-call team to help support emergency breakdown activities.
- Assist the Sample Storage Supervisor and Manager with tasks to support the department and Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015 accredited:

- Ensure folders and spreadsheets in the quality system within Egnyte, study folders and client folders are maintained.
- Perform periodic reviews of all relevant documentation in the quality system and ensure that reviews are conducted in a timely manner.
- Take personal responsibility to deliver storage services to a consistently high standard, making suggestions for improvement.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies.
- Maintain knowledge and skills to undertake tasks in all Storage Suites and Off-Site Warehousing with limited supervision. This will include being able to use the full range of handling equipment such as fork lift trucks further to training and competence being certified.
- Make recommendations for continuous improvement to processes and practices.
- Able to train others, and deputise for the Supervisor / Manager as required.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Good standard of general education, with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- 2+ years Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience in a Pharmaceutical or similar life sciences business
- Experience using handling equipment preferred.
- Familiar working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) advantageous.
- Prior experience in administrative roles in a customer / service orientated environment.
- Strong planning and organisation skills: Able to assist with the planning, organisation and prioritisation of daily activities / requests from clients.
- Prior experience of training others would be advantageous.
- Excellent written communication skills with an attention to detail and record keeping.
- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, visitors and suppliers.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team. Good interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Willing and able to learn, with an interest in continued professional development.
