**Our client**

Morgan Hunt are working with a housing association who have a young persons service in Old Trafford that supports 16 - 19 year olds who are homeless to live independently and move on with their lives.

Residents are supported for up to 12 months by the support team who are on hands 24 hours a day. They work closely with residents and agencies, delivering support in areas such as health and wellbeing, budgeting, education, employment, training and re housing.

We are looking to recruit a Project Worker for an ongoing temporary contract. Hours of work will be based on a rota of 35 hours per week, including 1 weekend in 5 and shift times are 7.45am to 15.45pm or 12.10 to 20.10pm.

**The role - Project Worker**

As a Project Worker you will.
- Manage referrals coming in to the service and complete assessments to determine eligibility and needs.
- Devising personalized support plans based on the outcomes of needs assessment.
- Carry a small caseload of young people and deliver individualised packages of support based on needs.
- Provide housing related support for example support with universal credit and housing benefit entitlement.
- Advocating for and accompanying young people to appointments and meetings when required
- Maintaining close contact and good relationships with other housing providers in the area
- Liaising effectively with statutory, non-statutory and voluntary agencies
- Keeping full and clear records of progress using IT systems
- Support in the facilitation of group sessions
- Experience of supporting vulnerable people ideally young people within a similar setting.
- Experience of managing a caseload and completing risk and need assessments.
- Experience of facilitating group work sessions
- Experience of working with external stakeholders and organisations
- A flexible approach to work given the shifts required for the role.
- Due to the nature of the role an Enhanced DBS is required dated within the last 12 months or on the update service.
