**Working Hours**: 16hours per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

**Remuneration**: £12.09 per hour Travelexpenses are claimed in addition_._

**Contract**: Fixed term until 31stMarch 2025

**Background**: The YMCA BCG Wrens Nest Navigators is funded by theLottery Community Fund and is funded to run a project in the area of WrensNest, Dudley. We aim to put on FREE activities for the community.

Theactivities we run vary in age ranges such as under 5s, 7-13 years, 7-17 years,18+, families. These activities offer the community a safe place to bethemselves and also work towards 7 outcomes set out by the Lottery CommunityFund.

Weare currently looking to recruit Community Project Workers that can support ourcommunity-based activities. The successful individual will add their expertiseto the team.

Job Role: The postholder will workfrom various outreach locations delivering Wrens Nest Navigators communityactivities. You will work closely with the YMCA BCG Wrens Nest ProjectCoordinator, Relief Youth Worker and other Community Project Worker to achieve theprogramme outcomes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

1. To deliverface to face and online youth activities supporting children, young people andfamilies with their overall wellbeing.

2. Have a genuine passionfor working with children and young people and supporting their engagement andprogression.

3. To encourage children, youngpeople and families to actively participate in the decision making processes ofthe programme.

4. Working with children, youngpeople and families to build successful and trusting relationships to achievegreater impact and improved outcomes.

5. Maintaining up to daterecords of work completed with children, young people and families inaccordance with GDPR and Data Protection policies.

6. To supportthe Project Coordinator in completing comprehensive risk assessments for activitiesand sessions, including risk assessing individuals if required to ensure thesafety of others, and self.

7. Providing support tochildren and young people and assisting them to develop life skills.

8. To participate in regular performancereviews and be prepared to undertake training courses appropriate to your role.

9. Provideassistance supporting and delivering activities, enforcing rules, modellingpositive behaviour.

10. To supportthe Project Coordinator, Relief Youth Worker and Community Project Worker overseeingsession activities including maintaining safety of equipment, cleaningfacilities and equipment, operating accessing I.T systems for recording ofinformation when required.

11. To be polite,professional, engaging to all individuals and colleagues, creating a warm andwelcoming atmosphere.

12. Motivateand inspire children, young people and families to develop their wellbeingthrough variety of coproduced session activities.

13. Actas a buddy to new Volunteers at sessions, supporting them at sessions when theyinitially start.

15. Representthe interests of the YMCA at partnership / network meetings to promote and furtherdevelop the Wrens Nest Navigators Project.

16. Participatein staff meetings, provide regular feedback as appropriate.

17. Ensurethe health, safety and welfare of service users and volunteers in accordancewith the YMCAs Health & Safety Policy, and conduct risk assessments asappropriate.

Partnership working and networking with a range of agencies.

Developing engaging session plans with clear aims and objectives

Working well within a team with the ability to also take initiative.
