**Accommodation Officer - Broadstairs English Centre**

**Job purpose**

To place students and group leaders in suitable homestay, our on-site residence, or other residential accommodation, and to liaise with agents/groups prior to and during their stays to ensure that all parties are satisfied with their hosting arrangements.

**Key responsibilities**
- Matching students and group leaders with appropriate hosts or placing in our school residence, taking into account special requests, notified allergies, etc.
- Updating all hosting areas of the database in order to maintain accurate up-to-date information about both students and homestay providers.
- Producing hosting lists for agents/groups and ensuring that they are sent to customers in good time.
- Producing hosting lists for hosts and ensuring that they are sent in good time and that any special requirements are highlighted and agreed.
- Dealing with changes and updating information on the database, as well as informing all affected parties as soon as possible.
- Handling complaints from customers and/or hosts and following procedures to resolve situations as efficiently as possible.
- Conducting initial inspections of all new homestay premises, interviewing prospective hosts, and conducting re-inspections of existing hosts annually.
- Managing student relocation including delivering students when necessary.
- Managing the emergency phone on designated weeknights or weekends according to the rota
- Ensuring that any absences and/or holiday requests are made known to the relevant line manager(s) in accordance with the School’s policies and procedures and those made known through the _Employee Handbook_
- Observing and implementing the School’s Safeguarding Policy for Students under the Age of 18
- Promoting the School by regularly interacting all stakeholders in a professional and friendly manner
- Continuing professional development through personal research, knowledge and skill sharing, attending in-house training sessions, including specifically ensuring that Advanced Safeguarding is maintained by CPD and self-guided training
- Observing and implementing the School’s policies and procedures with regard to health and safety in the workplace, staff behaviour, dress code and general operations, including undertaking the School’s induction

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional phone manner
- IT proficient
- Previous experience of the job or similar roles preferred
- Able to fit in with and work alongside other operational roles in the team

**Safeguarding**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
