Scope

Responsible for projects for Laminate tube manufacture and product lines for developing products that will be produced in Colchester plant or alternate Albea sites.

Job summary

Support the Technical NPD projects team as a Project lead in the planning, execution, and completion of customer facing projects and internal development projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Main Activities:
Provide technical/admin support for customer facing new product development (NPD) projects. Provide technical/admin support for internal packaging development projects.

Raise, plan, and record trials and validation protocols.

Support Quality customer requests related to regulatory compliance for food and pharma markets.

Raise and obtain approval of new raw material part numbers as required.

Manage supplier quotations, raise purchase orders and receipt of sample materials.

Administrate site Change Controls and ensure thorough documentation is filled for audits.

Accurately update and maintain technical trials matrix/project trackers.

Support the team with cover for annual leave, including artwork processing.

Support artwork processing with management of printing plate deliveries.

Support the team and business as required.

Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Accountability including KPIs:
Ensure project feasibility with Need, Product, Process, Suppliers and Supply chain leaders.

Obtain approval from Customer/Market (product/process) in relation with Need leader and, when necessary, with support from Product Process or Suppliers and Supply chain.

Present project’s Quality/Cost/Time objectives and support new product launches are on-time, in full, at cost, on budget, and meet quality requirements in line with project charter.

Person Specification:
Experience within in a technical/administrative/project support role in a related industry such as print, tube making, injection moulding, and new product development.” Familiarity with technical and mechanical equipment, manufacturing environments, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Customer-facing project administration experience with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of quality management systems.

Able to seek out ways to improve and streamline technical and administrative processes.

Structured and organised with the ability to prioritise work.

Sense of pride in work, flexibility, and good time management.

Excellent attention to detail and administrative abilities.

Positive attitude, self-motivated, and highly numerate and literate.

Full understanding and adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
