You may then have the qualities we are looking for to take on an exciting opportunity a join the team as our new Senior Clerical Assistant at the Joint Equipment Loan Service (JELS), Perth. The Joint Equipment Loan Service (JELS) provides a priority-driven delivery, fitting and collection service throughout Perth & Kinross; supplying equipment to meet the assessed needs of service users with physical disabilities, and acute and chronic illness.
- Do you have excellent digital skills to operate, organise and maintain relevant systems and equipment ensuring the integrity of data, appropriate security, and access, with systems such as ELMS which is our online ordering system to process all orders for standard stock items?

You will have a great opportunity to work with a wide range of health care professionals and assessing workers who have on-line access to the Equipment Loans Management System (ELMS) which allows them to place and prioritise orders direct with JELS.
- Do you have the organisational skills to plan, prioritise and schedule work to contribute to the needs of the team/service?

We have an effective equipment delivery and collection process in addition to our on-line equipment orders, service histories and stock movement processes tracked and traced on ELMS. Good IT and digital skills are essential to operate and maintain relevant systems and equipment necessary for completing assigned tasks, currently we utilise a range of Microsoft products such as Word and Excel, alongside our service management platforms such as ELMS, PECOS, and AIS/Swift.
- Can you communicate effectively to build relationships with clients/service users and other internal/external agencies to ensure a quality care provision?

You will work in partnership with stakeholders in the service including Occupational Therapy, Community Nursing, Community Alarm Services and Physiotherapy. The care provision focuses on equipment provided by JELS ranging from daily living aids that assist with toileting, bathing, showering and household activities to pressure care mattresses and cushions, profiling beds and mobile hoists. The service also asset manages a wide range of Telecare technology which is distributed and fitted by the Community Alarm service. Equipment is provided to support hospital discharge and to prevent hospital admission by maximising the service user's independence within their home environment while supporting their rehabilitation and/or improving safety in their home. Equipment is also supplied to support end of life situations.

This role will allow you to showcase these skills, also having the ability to ensure attention to detail and meeting deadlines is essential. You will be able demonstrate a flexible approach to change and adapt to new ways of working.

You will be based at our JELS store in Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth. Hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 5.00pm. We are however happy to discuss the hours of work, promoting flexibility, but ensuring the service needs are met.
