**Employment Status **Fixed Term Part time (September 2024 to May 2025)

Possibility of this extending depending on projects.

**Working Pattern **30 - 40 hours per week to include some evening and weekend work for production and exam rehearsals. Term time only.

**Responsible to**:
Head of Theatre Studies and Drama for line management responsibilities and the Bursar & Chief Operating Officer, who has overall responsibility for support staff.

**Responsible for**:
Assisting the Theatre Studies and Drama Department with the facilitating, direction and production of drama in the Senior School.

Drama and Theatre Studies is a busy and dynamic department with three school productions each year and other performance opportunities open to all pupils, Inter-form Competitions and festival work. We also produce outstanding practical exam work with GCSE and A-level students working with the EDUQAS specifications.

**Main Responsibilities**:
2. Assisting the technical work of the department with particular responsibility for props and costumes held by the Department.

3. Supporting and guiding the rehearsals of exam practical work for GCSE and A-level students.

4. Assisting the timetabled work of the Department by setting out and collecting props and costumes used for lessons and assisting the teaching staff in other ways as appropriate. With opportunity to lead certain aspects of lessons in collaboration with the teacher.

5. Assisting with the general administration of the department resources, trips and other activities and to accompany a proportion of these as agreed with the Head of Department.

6. Maintaining the high standards and professional approach of the department at all times with pupils, staff and parents, always seeking guidance for clarity when required.

The above list is not exhaustive but summarises the key roles to be performed and other duties may be required and directed by the Head of Theatre Studies and Drama. A willingness to respond supportively to changing circumstances and/or the changing needs of the School is part of working in a school environment and is expected of the postholder.

If applicable, you will be automatically enrolled into the King Edward’s School, Bath Group Personal Pension Plan with an employer’s contribution of 6% of salary, to be matched by a 2% employee contribution.
