- **Hours**: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Fridays, 8:00am to 4:00pm (Hybrid-working)

**Job Role**:Buyer**

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Purchasing Manager with all procurement-related tasks and projects to ensure that all manufacturing needs are met in accordance with St. Eval Candle Company policies and procedures.

The role is based at our headquarters in North Cornwall overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Our new factory and offices, designed to sympathetically meld in with our rural setting are surround by conservation led landscaping, and close to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. Lunch time walks through country lanes and post work sea swims / surfing are all possible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setting up and maintain item master data including product specifications
- Setting up and routinely maintaining supplier details
- Processing of Purchase requests
- Research potential suppliers
- Product Sourcing
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers
- Processing purchase orders
- Progressing purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Monitoring pricing to ensure consistency
- Maintain Kanban system
- Supporting with procurement strategy projects
- Take part in continuous improvement projects throughout the organization

**Essential experience**:

- Previous experience in sourcing/purchasing/supply or manufacturing
- Experience of ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One or equivalent
- Relationship building and networking skills
- Excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear
- An understanding of supply chain management and logistics
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control

**About You**:

- CIPs qualification or equivalent
- Analytically minded
- Keen to learn new skills
