**The role**

CharityJob are looking to recruit an experienced Test Manager to provide expertise and guidance on test management ensuring all development is effectively managed and tested prior to release into the live environment. This is an exciting opportunity foran existing Test Manager who is keen to grow and take on a new challenge.

We have a pipeline of innovative projects to improve the CharityJob websiteand you will manage the Test Strategy for the organisation providing guidance and best practice for test planning and testing activities.

A major part of this role is leading a transition from manual to automated testing so you should be experienced in planning automated test strategies as well as being proficient in writing automated tests.

As a Test Manager you will be working in the scrum teams alongside developers, product managers and designers and more closely the testing team to ensure the successful adoption of test practices, ensuring that the deployed releases meet stakeholder andcustomer expectations.

You will be responsible for managing and delivering the testing of diverse and often complex products in the CharityJob portfolio. You will communicate with other stakeholders within the company as well as the management team and be able to work independentlywhilst also being a strong team player.

You will need to understand the benefits and the challenges that the testing department can face during the testing life cycle, and ensure testing is delivered on time and to a high quality on a consistent basis.

**About You**

You should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a test management role with a strong technical background and knowledge, which can be used to direct others and be applied by yourself.

You will be able to champion testing best practises and be a strong communicator and an excellent testing practitioner. You should have non-functional as well as functional testing skills and have experience working in Agile/DevOps environment. It is importantthat you can work autonomously, be self-driven and innovative with a positive, can-do attitude. You should be able to measure progress within the testing team and drive continuous improvement.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Test Strategy.
- Build an automation strategy, transitioning manual tests.
- Mentor and coordinate the testing team.
- Identify training needs for existing testers to help them improve their automated testing skills.
- Produce and review Test Plans, and contribute to the development of Test Scripts, including expected results.
- Use testing tools as required and carry out tool evaluation as appropriate.
- Proactively facilitate the resolution of errors that might impact on quality or the ability to complete tests.

**Skills**
- Be able to articulate and demonstrate a good understanding of Test Management
- Have advanced knowledge and experience with testing tools and test automation (Selenium C# with Visual Studio)
- Experience testing on different platforms, including web and mobile; iOS, Android, and Windows
- Experience managing a team
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience using a reporting tool such as Jira
- Experience writing SQL queries
- ISTQB Certification

**Our office**

Our newly refurbished bright, airy and colourful office is situated in Kingston, just 20 minutes by train from Clapham Junction. It is a great environment to work in, the atmosphere is fun with high energy and a great buzz. There are regular company socialevents and the office has a pool table, table tennis and air hockey table. We have over 30 employees working here in software development, product, sales, marketing and finance departments.

**Our Package**
- £50-65K depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
- Hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days from home)
