REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

Car Allowance - £4,800 on top of base. 10% bonus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced **Domestic** **Insurance Surveyor** with an insurance industry background that resides within East Anglia.

You will be expected to assess damage for buildings insurance claims to determine whether claims should be accepted or declined. Then you will have to verify the scope and quantum of accepted claims.

You will agree on the most cost-effective repair methods for the job in question and anticipate any potential issues in-order that these are highlighted at the outset, keeping the Policyholders informed as to the insurer’s stance and helping to manage their expectations. You will liaise with our repair partners regarding the work specification and other relevant matters where necessary.

You will also provide technical support to the office-based validation team and claim handlers.

You will be on the road 3-4 days per week, visiting policyholders' premises and completing the surveying reports. The region you will cover will be within 2 hours' driving distance from where you reside.

**What skills/experience do you must have?**
- a proven track record of surveying and assessing repairs on **private domestic properties**:

- experience in dealing with insurance damage (fire, flood, escape of water, storm, subsidence etc.)
- an excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and be able to understand/interpret and produce an accurate schedule of works

Qualifications in surveying such as HNC or similar are desirable. Experience with Xactware or other estimating software is desirable too.

**Salary**: £37,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
