Guideposts is a multi-disciplinary social care and mental health network focused first and foremost upon PEOPLE. As a charity we have over 50 years’ experience meeting the needs of individuals who face any number of complex challenges; from autism, learningdisability and mental health conditions, to physical disability and age-related conditions, such as dementia, sensory impairment and mobility problems. Whether through active care and support services, information advice and guidance or independent livingand training projects; Guideposts exists in order to connect people and their carers with opportunities.

**TheHub Team Leader role**:
As our**Hub Team Leader,**you will drive and support the team and the Service Users to explore and achieve their potential.

The Hub is a friendly and vibrant place where adults with learning disabilities can come together to make friends, have fun, learn new skills, gain confidence, and get involved in their local community.

**Your responsibilities as our Hub Team Leader will include**:

- Providing direct operational support to the Community Opportunities Manager in the effective running of the service
- Leading by a good example, giving clear direction and support to the staff and volunteers
- Taking responsibility for making day to day decisions on operational and member matters, ensuring the effective running of the service
- Promoting the service within the local community and beyond to potential new service users, their supporters, and other stakeholders
- Having a clear overview of relationships with all individuals who we support
- Handling complaints to the service, including monitoring and escalating where appropriate
- Communicating regularly with individuals that we support and their families and social workers

**What we are looking for in ourHub Team Leader**:

- Knowledgeable and experienced (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and willing to work towards Level 5 Qualification
- A good communicator at all levels
- The ability to handle difficult situations
- Takes initiative and is enthusiastic
- Basic financial and budgeting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Can multi-task and be proactive
- Experience in leading and managing teams

**An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.The cost will be met by the employer.**
