Alvan Blanch designs, manufactures and exports large scale machinery for processing crops all around the world.

We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a full time, permanent position, based on-site at our head office.

**Job title: Accounts Assistant - Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk**

**Reports to**:Head of Finance

**Purpose of Role**: To provide support to the Finance Team

**Relationships**:Finance Team, Sales Teams, Factory and Procurement

**Main Duties**

Purchase Ledger
- Create Supplier Accounts
- Ensure all Supplier Bank Account Details are correct
- Check any Bank details with the Supplier to ensure no cyber issues
- Code and Post direct Purchase Invoices to the correct Nominal Account and Cost Centre
- Code and Post all Purchase Invoices through the Purchase Order Processing System, again using the correct Nominal Account Number and Cost Centre
- Reconcile Monthly Supplier Statements
- Chase any missing Invoices in a timely manner
- Chase Procurement and Stores with any booking In or pricing issues.
- Run GRNI report at the end of every month
- Ensure all allocations are posted in the correct period
- Take all Purchases Ledger calls
- Update Payment Schedule with Supplier Queries

Sales Ledger
- Post Sales Invoices to the Correct Nominal and Cost Centre on a daily basis
- Ensure all allocations are completed in the correct month
- Produce Credit Control report monthly
- Produce and chase the Sales Order report prior to month end
- Produce Credit Notes once authorised
- To cover Credit Control questions from Customers

To cover Weekly Payrol
- Complete the weekly overtime justification report
- Run the weekly Bradford Factor report
- Complete Holiday Report
- Weekly payroll with all reports

Other Work
- Cover for VAT Export files.
- Cover costing clerk role during periods of holiday and absence.
- Any other ad hoc work as requested.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
