**The Role**

The Purchase Ledger Assistant will assist the Finance team with the following:

- To Support the Financial Controller with maintenance of the purchase ledger
- Raise purchase orders in a timely manner, distribute to suppliers once authorised
- Manage the London parking permits and monitor their renewal dates. Assist with arranging permits for new starters.
- Assist with ensuring all office bank accounts are reconciled each month in a timely manner, clearing down unreconciled items as necessary
- Posting of invoices and receipts for the estate agency in a timely manner
- Production and distribution of adhoc information within a finance support function, from time to time and as required to support the business.
- Other adhoc team support administration as may be required from time to time
- Assist the Accounts Assistant with monthly expenses and any other adhoc duties required in the role.
- Purchase ledger experience
- An accountancy qualification - or part qualified AAT
- High attention to detail
- Enjoy working within a team
- Enjoy taking ownership of your work
- PC literate and familiar with using Excel and Word
- Ability to rapidly gain a good understanding with unfamiliar computing systems
- Able to cope under pressure and multi-task ensuring that workload is prioritised
- Ideally with demonstrable experience of developing procedures, processes, and working with new systems
- Effective communicator, who enjoys contact with internal and external customers.
- Strong people skills, with a ‘get it done’ approach
