Looking for an experienced Gardner to work at Gualin Estate as well as at Kinpurnie estate in Scotland.

A gardener is responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of plants, flowers, and trees in gardens, parks, or other outdoor spaces. Their primary duties include:
Planting and maintaining a variety of plants and flowers, including selecting and sourcing appropriate plant species, ensuring proper planting and watering, and pruning and trimming as necessary.

Identifying and controlling pests and diseases that can harm plants and flowers, using both organic and chemical treatments as necessary.

Designing and implementing landscape plans, which may involve creating and installing features such as walkways, patios, and water features.

Maintaining and repairing irrigation systems and other equipment used for gardening and landscaping.

Conducting regular inspections of plants and flowers to identify any potential issues, such as pests or diseases, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate the problem.

Managing and maintaining garden tools and equipment.

Educating clients or visitors about gardening and landscaping techniques, plant care, and related topics.

Maintaining accurate records of plant and flower growth and maintenance activities.

Gardeners typically work for landscaping companies, parks departments, botanical gardens, and other outdoor spaces. They may work independently or as part of a team, depending on the size of the garden or outdoor space. Gardeners should have a strong understanding of horticulture, plant biology, and landscape design, as well as the ability to use and maintain gardening equipment. No specific education is required, but many gardeners have completed a degree in horticulture, botany, or a related field. On-the-job training is also common.
