Our client, based in Dordon, immediately requires a Purchasing Assistant. Temp position only for 4 weeks may be longer. Duties include support the Purchasing Manager in assistance of all functions pertained within the Operations Department in the coordination, administration and documentation of activities relating to Purchasing and facilities management

The Role:

- Organising and control administrative duties involved on all Purchasing activities.
- Raising of purchase orders through to invoice completions and sign off.
- Managing indirect spends and day to day running of indirect contracts such as facility, insurance and car fleet activities.
- Identifying improvements and implement within the boundaries of contracts, pricing and department documentation.
- Researching new products and services, providing suitable evidenced analysis
- Managing the set up of new products on the relevant internal systems.
- Obtaining the best price for all indirect spend, control costs to budgetary targets and deliver savings - Identify and propose where potential savings can be made to generate revenue or reduce expenditure.
- Supporting the Purchasing Manager on direct spend, account set up and ensure new materials adhere to quality & technical specifications
- Completing Site facilities management and contracts to meet compliance requirements, regulatory guidelines and deadlines.
- Negotiating trading terms and agreements with vendors under direction as and when specified.
- Ensuring the Vehicle fleet systems are up to date and all drivers are provided with the correct information.
- Ensuring all vehicle activities are coordinated, tracking systems are managed, reviewed and communicate meaningful KPI’s.
- Compiling reports for monthly and quarterly deadlines.
- Liaising with all internal departments to ensure effective communication of Operations activities.
- Ensuring the Purchasing function offers the best possible service to the business in terms of quality and price.
- Maintaining records of supplier contracts. - Providing updates to the team on any delays or issues.
- Undertaking duties in accordance with all relevant management systems and controls.

- 37.5 hours per week
- 1 hr unpaid break
