**Carbon60 are currently hiring for WasteWater Treatment Specialist to work at a large Wastewater Treatment Plant on a petrochemical specialist site in Grangemouth.**

This role contributes heavily to the operational planning process, working in the client's office, you'll be overseeing operations within the plant. Supporting this site-based role is a local office & a team of Technical Specialists, with a vast amount of water treatment experience.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Offering advice and technical training to the Customer Operations Team, and liaising with upper management daily.
- Working closely with a team of specialists to offer advice on continuous improvement methods.
- Provide written advice that will be used in the client's operational production plan.
- Review the water system's operational performance and continuously look for optimisation and improvement opportunities to deliver additional value to the customer.
- Liaise with the NSI Water Sciences Laboratory to interpret results, design sampling and analysis schedules / protocols etc.
- Provide technical input when required and develop/maintain clear KPI's.
- A degree or higher in chemistry, biology, engineering process or chemical engineering or water experience in a technical role.
- At least 3 years of industry experience
- Previous lab experience
- Strategic planning experience
- Experience in training staff members
- Excellent communication skills
- Training in health and safety to a high standard
- Experience working with external customers including leading, facilitating and contributing to meetings.
- Knowledge of biological, physical, and chemical water treatment technologies
