**Description**:
JOB TITLE: Dispatcher (Red Handling)

REPORTING TO: Ramp manager

LOCATION: Gatwick airport RH6 0NP

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week 4 on 2 off

PAY RATE: £12.25 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising aircraft turnaround, working with all teams involved in the turnaround, including

Ground Operations colleagues, third party providers and Flight Deck and Cabin Crew Teams
- Performing pre-flight check requirements, preparing accurate loading documentation including trim calculations and loading instructions
- Working to legal regulations and company requirements; operating all equipment in a safe manner and maintaining a clear and safe working environment for you and your colleagues
- Able to drive air bridge
- Ensuring the delivery of an effective and friendly service that meets the needs of our customers and promotes our brand values
- Monitoring aircraft arrivals and departures and amending turnaround schedules if there are delays
- Liaising with ground crew and ensuring that tasks, such as cleaning, refuelling, and loading, are completed on time
- Calculating the payload (weight of passengers, luggage, cargo, and fuel) and producing a plan of where it should be positioned in the aircraft
- Preparing flight paperwork for the crew, such as printing of flight plans, passenger lists and weather reports
- Checking those all passengers and luggage or cargo is loaded and deciding, along with the pilot, when to close the departure gate
- Ensuring that pre-flight safety and maintenance checks have been carried out with the captain, authorising dispatch of the aircraft and completing all reports and logs according to company regulations
- Operating equipment such as air bridges and driving airside vehicles for transporting crew
