As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing a caseload of pre-litigated cases, primarily focused on personal injury claims for our union members. These cases cover a variety of scenarios, including road traffic accidents, employers' liability, and public liability claims. You will be joining the team on a full time, permanent basis, based out of our Liverpool office.

**Responsibilities**
- Conducting investigations and gathering evidence to determine whether litigation is warranted.
- Preparing cases for issuance, excluding drafting of Claim Forms and Particulars of Claim.
- A wide range of tasks such as initial merit assessments, obtaining liability evidence, pre-action disclosure, securing medical evidence when necessary, instructing non-medical experts, making disclosure decisions, assessing claim values, and liaising with clients, witnesses, experts, unions, third parties, and defendants
- Producing all your work with mínimal assistance from administrative and support staff
- Proficiency in using provided equipment and case management systems is essential, you will be fully trainer on our specific case management system, Mattersphere.

**Person Specification**
- Knowledge of personal injury law
- Familiarity with Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules, and funding procedures
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding client care skills
- Ability to follow instructions and make informed decisions
- Has an understand of case management systems and proficient in utilising the Microsoft suite e.g., Word, Excel and Outlook
- Capability to take delegated tasks from start to finish with mínimal supervision
