**About the role and team**

- We are currently recruiting for an Associate to join our Property team on a 12 Month FTC to cover maternity.Our housing association clients find themselves in a rapidly changing world. Alongside offering traditional tenures such as affordable rent and shared ownership sales, many are diversifying into open market sales and rental markets, competing with traditional house builders in a highly commercial environment. Many are large corporate organisations dealing with highly structured development projects with sophisticated funding arrangements that challenge us to bring new and innovative ways of thinking to the legal challenges they face.
- We are looking for a property lawyer to provide maternity cover commencing July 2023 whose role will be to support one of our partners who leads our highly-regarded team stock rationalisation and asset management team. We are seeking a qualified solicitor, we suggest 2-4 PQE, who can bring some commercial residential experience to the sector. You will be principally working on multi million pound transactions, buying and selling portfolios of social housing between housing associations. There will be a variety of work with significant responsibility.

This is an opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded “band 1” social housing leader and gain valuable experience and understanding of the social housing sector.

With a residential or development background, you will have enthusiasm for housing sector work and a willingness to understand the world from the client perspective.
