Cambridge, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

Due to the increased demand for tools to deliver digital assessment across the University, **two** full time, permanent posts have been created to respond to the demand and support delivery.

The University is developing a Digital Assessment Strategy and these Learning Technologists will support staff across departments as that strategy is operationalised - responding to, building and enhancing the services delivered centrally and providing support to the appropriate technologies to address the varied assessment styles.

The role is based within the central exams team within Education Services and will initially work with the exam operations team to support in the delivery of Inspera which is currently being run as a pilot. Over the coming years, further assessment tools will be considered for implementation.

Digital assessment is developing rapidly, and these roles are new to this area. It is not known how the roles will develop and the postholder will be expected to flex and grow as the service develops.

The work completed in this role will be varied, and key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the annual cycle of activity relating to examination delivery to ensure that changes to process are delivered to a consistent and high standard;
- To act as System Administrator for Digital Assessment platform(s);
- To act as a helpdesk, both remote and in person support;
- Promote and ensure use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools for digital assessment;
- Develop and deliver training and supporting documentation to all users across the university.
- have experience of digital assessment, preferably in a higher education or further education background;
- are highly meticulous, accurate and organised;
- are highly flexible in approach;
- are quick and comfortable to adapt to change;
- have experience of acting as a system administrator across a business or educational environment;
- have the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently;
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- are helpful, approachable and have a diplomatic manner with a wide range of stakeholders;
- able to foster positive working relationships;
- are motivated and takes initiative.

In return we would offer you:

- a clear training plan, with supportive training being delivered by colleagues across the university;
- regular check in's (weekly) with your Supervisor and / or Line Manager and an annual review;
- a Personal and Professional development plan to encourage future growth;
- quarterly reviews of your Personal and Professional development plan to keep objectives on track;
- the opportunity to network within the Student Services Centre and with Colleges, Departments and individuals across the wider University;
- access to various University training courses, with an emphasis on person development;
- a supportive, inclusive and engaging working environment.

The exams service is part of Education Services and exceptionally, you may be required to work on other tasks within Education Services if there is a change in priorities.

A hybrid work model is possible at certain times, however, the role requires some days per week in the office (exact days to be negotiated). During peak examination times, the role holder will need to be in the office full-time.

Interviews will be held on **Tuesday 18th April** and held in person.
