Finance Administrator Apprentice

**What will the apprentice be doing?**
**Responsibilities**:
- Process expenses and credit card returns accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for freelance workers, obtaining approval and distributing the 'Unpaid List' to relevant contacts.
- Issue the bi-weekly 'Flash Report' for the sales team, providing essential financial insights.
- Offer general assistance to the Finance team, handling ad-hoc day-to-day tasks for the back office.
- Send out permanent invoice reminders to clients, maintaining effective communication.
- Manage DEA (Direct Earnings Attachment) and AOE (Attachment of Earnings) Letters for temporary staff.
- Ensure proper storage of purchase invoices and prepare a Weekly Purchase Ledger Log for review by one of the directors.
- Address general finance queries promptly and accurately.
- Demonstrate compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Note: Due to the dynamic nature of our small business, the apprentice will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of tasks, fostering a comprehensive learning experience in the field of finance administration.
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
- Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)
- 1 day a week dedicated to coursework
- Fareham College
**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
- Opportunity to grow with the business within the Accounts Department.
**Salary**: £12,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
