Production Planner

Specialists in providing engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, **Polypipe Building Services **leverages offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors as well as local authorities. Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years.

**The Role**:Responsible for ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate scheduling of production work centres, and issue respective production orders in consultation with production leaders & Managers. Maintenance of base IFS data on defined modules and data analysis project work as required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To efficiently plan the day-to-day production in the Injection Moulding, Extrusion, Fabrication and Assembly departments by using all available IFS data
- To manage and correct problems relating to transactions usage, accuracy of standards, times for prefabrication items, quality of information (on all production documentation), capacity constraints, plan achievement, product availability, lead times and inventory (including safety stocks)
- To co-ordinate and issue respective production plans to efficiently use all required and available resources
- Liaise with International team to establish future product requirements to always ensure full product availability.
- Maintain system integrity by checking old or missed works orders and re-dating or deleting where necessary
- Plan with respect to stock availability, in conjunction with production, for the availability of tool and machine maintenance
- Maintain current production dates with respect to works orders (prefabrication, Moulding, assembly, and extrusion plan failures)
- Always follow all company policies

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Good knowledge of Products
- Understanding of all manufacturing and logistics processes
- Detailed knowledge of the IFS computer system
- Good communication skills
- Time management skills
- Analytical skills with respect to data retrieved from IFS
- H&S

**Working hours** are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
