The Liberty Global Disaster Recovery Officer will be responsible for leading and improving Liberty Global's disaster recovery and programme, including planning, implementation, maintenance, testing and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
- Delivery of the DR strategy/framework. Including defining recover objectives (Tiers) and covering both in house hosted, outsourced and Cloud services.
- Working closely with the Business Continuity team to ensure that DR aligns to Critical Business Services and a range of agreed technology threats.
- Works with business service teams across LG Central and the global OpCos to deliver consistent LG Technology Resilience as part of Business Continuity Management program framework, extending processes as necessary to help business partners identify recovery risks and manage mitigation to an acceptable level.
- Determines and evaluates the current state Disaster Recovery (DR) planning within services, infrastructure and departments and helps facilitate the improvement and maintenance of each of those plans, considering best practices, industry standards and critical areas of focus.
- Develop and implement Data Centre recovery plans working with the Technology and Infrastructure teams including ensuring backups (offsite and offline).
- Ensuring that existing and new Cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) services provided have appropriate DR testing programmes and back-up (Offsite and Offline) in place.
- Project/Change - Complete DR project impact assessments, suggesting changes and providing the projects with resilience approval.
- Ensure DR resilience related risks are raised, tracked, and monitored. Advise senior leadership on remediation plans aligned risk tolerance, and business strategy.
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement to the DR programme and implement changes in consultation with business stakeholders.
- Work in partnership with Security Operations to respond to security incidents, developing Cyber Crisis Management Plans aligned to the Operations Cyber Incident Response Plans. Crisis incident resolution and disaster recovery may require occasional out of ours work or being part of an on-call rotation.
- Advise Operating Companies (OpCos) in assessing DR risks as defined by the Risk Management process and track risks with the support of the Risk Management Team.
- Prepare and deliver any DR status reporting as required by Liberty Global business. Ensuring reporting and status updates are provided in a timely manner.
- Acts as the single point of contact for Internal Audit and regulatory compliance obligations relating to DR.
- Coaching and advising the OpCo’s Business Continuity Champions to achieve and maintain high levels of DR awareness across Liberty Global. Working collaboratively to influence and socialize strategies, standards, policies, procedures, communications, and governance taken account the differing levels of BCM maturity in OpCos.

Knowledge & Experience
- Practical experience in implementing and assessing IT DR and IT Resilience methodologies and tools in a global organisation (7+ Years)
- Have a demonstrable, working knowledge of IT Resilience & IT DR Cloud concepts in complex Global Organisations (AWS/Google).
- Are able to fluidly execute workshops and challenge IT teams in discovering IT resilience and recovery practices within IT infrastructure.
- Experience leading the design and development of DR methodology, processes, concepts.
- Demonstrable experience of optimally crafting, delivering and improving BC and DR programs
- Track record of successfully delivering BC and DR exercises and testing programs.
- Knowledge or experience in BC or Operational Resilience processes and Standards (ISO22301).
- Experience or understanding of risk management processes (ISO31000).
- Experience of a large, sophisticated, global matrix organization.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Business Continuity Institute (BCI), Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), or other business continuity professional certification.
- Strong inter-personal and collaboration skills, able to interact with and influence senior stakeholders and partners across all levels of the global organisation.
- Ability to build, establish and maintain influential relationships to drive effective flow of information and work practices.
- A self-starter with the ability to work under their own initiative and effectively manage customer and inter-departmental relationships.
- Proactive mindset and sees opportunities to develop processes and governance under a continuous improvement ethos. Embrace truthful and straightforward feedback.
