**Location**:Scotstoun, Glasgow: Hybrid and flexible working arrangements - 3 days per week on site, please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

**Salary**: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on grade, skills and experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Manage the procurement contract with each supplier: Manage delivery of agreed milestones to cost and schedule, negotiate any contract change with suppliers, investigate and resolve claims for delay or poor performance
- Manage supplier responsibilities and work with Engineering, Operations and Quality to deliver materials and equipment from suppliers that meets our specification, quality, schedule and cost requirements
- Lead weekly project reviews with suppliers, Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment, quarterly business reviews, in yard supplier visits etc for assigned contacts
- Use the ERM system to manage Purchase Orders and other deliverables
- Ensure reporting of cost savings / cost avoidance and deliver ongoing cost analysis
- Manage supplier risk, seek out, identify and deliver opportunities for continuous improvement

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Experience of managing a range of direct procurement packages, commodities or equipment in a defence or similar industry e.g. automotive, aerospace
- Excellent supplier and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to implement Contract Management Strategies
- Technical and commercial skills in relation to supply chain processes and activities
- Ability to communicate at all levels with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience of ERM Systems

Desirable
- CIPS qualification
- Project management experience

**The Procurement Team**

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will be responsible for established procurement packs/ sub contracts for the build and delivery phase of a highly complex Shipbuild programme for your specified Procurement Category.

The role involves managing the Supplier Relationship and working with Engineering to ensure on time delivery of equipment and materials and optimal contract performance.
