**Technical Product Owner [Fixed Term Contract]**
**About Us**
Climate X is a purpose-driven climate adaptation data company set to revolutionise how the world manages assets, property, and infrastructure.
- We are engaged in a grant which will begin on 10_th_ July and continue for 7-8 months. _
- The acceleration of biodiversity loss, combined with the threats it poses to the climate, the spread of_ _disease and the economy means there is a global need for innovative solutions to slow biodiversity loss,_ _and mitigate the negative impacts of losses already incurred._
- The use of satellite-derived data presents a unique opportunity to address the biodiversity problem in one_ _of the UK’s largest economic contributors, the financial services sector. We (Climate X) seek to develop a_ _Biodiversity Impact Scenario Monitor (BISM), using: _
- _satellite data,_
- _complementary terrestrial data sources, and _
- _enabling technologies_
- in a physics-first approach, to provide granular detail of business asset impacts on specific biomes_
- (distinct geographical regions with specific biodiversity and climate), whilst identifying, understanding_ _and predicting the impacts and dependencies of business on nature, and nature on business._

**The impact you’ll own**
- Drive product initiatives from prototype to productionisation, coordinating deployments between commercial, tech and science teams.
- Deep-dive into climate impact data that powers the product.
- Interact with customers in POC capacity.
- Provide robust user acceptance testing of new products and features.
- Produce business requirements for the tech team.
**Essential Skills**
- Strong product and data science background
- Strong data analytics skills using SQL/Python (ideally inc Geopandas)
- Strong communication and agile project management and scrum master skills
- Experience in statistical methods
**Desirable Skills**
- Previous experience in productionising climate intelligence
- Comfortable using geospatial data. (e.g. OSM)
- Understanding of the current climate change landscape and interest in future trends
- Experience working at start-ups or scale-ups
