Currently, we are seeking a skilled and hands-on Head of Finance to work closely with the Managing Director, providing strategic support to the business by leveraging robust financial insights.

As the Head of Finance, you will collaborate with a friendly, longstanding finance team and play a pivotal role in implementing tangible process improvements. Serving as a Business Partner to the leadership team, you will offer expert guidance and enhancements to the numbers, making a significant impact on the companys growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop high-quality financial budgets and forecasts for various segments, including category, customer, and channel analysis.
- Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports, such as the Group Monthly Reporting Package, Revenue, P&L, and Cash flow forecasts (Vs Budget).
- Evaluate organisational performance against annual budgets and the companys long-term strategy, providing strategic recommendations based on financial and commercial analysis.
- Collaborate with the sales team to maximise company, product, and customer consolidated margins continuously.
- Lead and motivate a finance team of three employees, focusing on their personal development and setting SMART goals.
- Take full ownership of the group accounting processes, managing internal monthly management accounts, and ensuring the integrity of financial activities and control systems.
- Maintain compliance with statutory obligations, including VAT, Payroll tax, Companies House, and HMRC, while designing and implementing financial control procedures.
- Work with external auditors to ensure smooth year-end submissions of accounts and compliance with any mid-year special audits.
- Fulfil all Company Secretary duties, including administering P11D in conjunction with Human Resources.

Key Skills:

- Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong IT skills, particularly advanced Excel and/or SAP proficiency.
- Proven competence in working within a matrix organisation.
- Committed team player with a strong background in team leadership.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles.
- Hands-on approach with the ability and desire to delve into detail when required.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable and adaptable to change.
