At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Commercial Support Advisor at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.

**The role**
As a Commercial Support Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support the achievement of financial targets and ensure that contractual obligations and associated risks are adequately dealt with.

Day to day, you’ll be part of the Commercial team who support contract management of the principal submarine contract which requires the processing of contract changes, providing advice on the contract, setting up non-disclosure agreements, supporting internal and external meetings, working with finance to provide accurate forecasting and taking time to develop yourself with training and support to meet your commercial competencies.
- Supporting change proposals and contract amendments, and issue to the customer.
- Identify commercial risks, propose steps to mitigate, and communicate effectively.
- Working with Babcock stakeholders internally to manage gate review process.
- Prioritise workload and identify concerns about workflow to Line Manager if any concerns are arising.

This role is full time - 36 hours and will be based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements. There is a requirement to travel to Bristol once a month as part of the role.

**Essential experience of the Commercial Support Advisor**:

- Commercially astute with a broad understanding of the procurement process.
