An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Procurement Team at KMPT. Our team plays a pivotal role within the organisation, delivering on-going cost efficiencies and wider benefits through our procurement activities, and by supporting effective contract management. We enable the Trust to obtain value for money goods, services and works from high quality suppliers, delivering the best outcomes for our staff and patients whilst ensuring adherence to procurement legislation, internal policy, and best practice.

As a key part of the Procurement Team, you will contribute to the delivery of an effective, professional and responsive procurement service to the Trust’s stakeholders, developing excellent working relationships across corporate and clinical teams, and providing specialist procurement advice and guidance. You will be responsible for delivering a programme of compliant procurement processes, putting in place low to medium value contracts which are fit-for-purpose, offer best value for money, and support the team to deliver annual cashable savings for the Trust.

We are committed to the development of our staff, and training and development opportunities will be made available as part of the role. This may include CIPS, and other recognised qualifications.

The main role purpose will be to deliver a programme of procurement processes for the Trust which will include quotations, and tenders (low to medium value) and accessing framework agreements in a compliant manner ensuring value for money and excellent patient care is delivered. You will also support the team on more complex or high value contracts.

You will also work with the team to deliver fit for purpose contracts that support the Trusts vision and values and deliver annual cashable savings along with wider efficiencies and social value benefits. You will ensure that procurement processes are carried out in accordance with Legislation and best practice.
