Finishing Carpenters

Specialist Group are currently seeking site finishing carpenters to join our team within Central London.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Individuals who can install joinery items on time, to a high standard, in a safe working manner.
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery
- CSCS and SSTS/SMSTS Certification
- Previous experience working in a number of sectors; commercial, residential, healthcare and education.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Assist supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- To inspect, where necessary, defects or repairs reported, identifying the reason for the problem and ensuring it is repaired within reasonable response time.
- Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
- Ability to operate tools and other equipment.
- Install fixtures and fittings such as handles, locks and hinges.
- Perform finishing carpentry including siding, flooring and built-ins.
- Comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and other tradesmen.

Rates are negotiable and dependent upon skill level and experience..
