Surrey Paediatric Support Service is a new service commissioned for 30 months, through Surrey County Council. This team will be offering 8 week programmes to parents/carers whose children are 5 years old and under who are in receipt of, or who are awaiting a diagnosis of, Autism and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

The parenting programmes will span for 8 weeks, delivered to groups of care givers across the county of Surrey via zoom and face to face. There will be a variety of times and days on offer to ensure inclusivity for all families. This will include some evening groups running online or face to face from 6pm onwards, as well as day time groups which allow the families to bring their child under 5 years old with them and day time zoom groups. Staff members will have a rota system to effectively manage the leading of sessions to ensure this responsibility is shared equally between the team.

Another key element of this role is that the day time sessions located at a Barnardo's family centres in Surrey, will offer a limited number of creche spaces to allow parents to attend the session with their young person. During this session one member of staff will lead the learning of the session and the other member of staff will facilitate the creche. Creche spaces are limited and booking is essential.
