An opportunity has arisen for **Indirect** **Procurement Team Leader** to join our Procurement Team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of this role is to lead and manage all activities relating to the purchasing of capital plant and equipment necessary to support the growth of WAE as a series power system manufacturer across 3 continents. To manage a team of international Procurement Specialists to ensure all procurement activities support business budgets and schedules with clear focus on leveraging total value of buy and managing the team to procurement best practices.

**Job role**:

- Define the global sourcing strategy for the Plant and Equipment Category, rationalising supplier complexity and quantity where possible to enable the development of supplier relationships and supplier management through key performance indicators.
- To achieve cost reductions associated with the delivery of capital projects to meet financial goals.
- Management Reporting on Project performance to ensure that the procurement activities are happening on a proactive basis assisting with delivering projects in tight time
- Manage staff performance and development.
- Manage contract and service delivery and ensure support infrastructure is in place to ensure business continuity.
- Lead and support Procurement Team resource planning and recruitment to make sure that the right resources are available to enable project
- Support, lead, guide and train procurement
- Build and develop interdepartmental relationships within WAE to provide overall business
- Manage the on-time delivery of P&E across multiple locations (UK and global) in conjunction with project management, legal and technical colleagues.
- Preparation and issue of tender documentation.
- Carry out commercial negotiations covering terms and conditions, IP, design and development activities, tooling and piece Draft complex contracts in conjunction with WAE legal team.
- Supplierselectionand
- Cost and budget responsibility and provide clear and accurate data into the programme and finance
- Implementation of NDA’s and T’s and C’s with supplier in conjunction with the WAE Legal
- Responsible for resolving any invoices queries arising from PO’s and Invoices.
- Creation of supplier performance data and working with supplier quality assurance team to ensure effective supplier development plans are in place and
- Report procurement status at programme reviews and gateways to senior
- Support for Business Development with estimates and costings for new project
- Develop supplier performance measures in conjunction with supplier quality assurance and

**You’ll have**:

- Proven track record of procurement of complex Capital Plant and Equipment
- Highly experienced in the development of procurement strategies and post-contract management (commercial contract management, adherence to SLAs)
- Understanding of the market and supply chain within this category
- Knowledge of MF1, JCT and NEC contracts desirable
- Technical and / or commercial education to a minimum of degree level, Membership of CIPS would be
- Well-honed leadership and negotiation
- Strong experience of contract management and delivery on procurement strategies.
- Experience of implementing supplier development plans with a track record of delivering measurable improvement in supplier performance
- Knowledge of practical problem-solving skills with the knowledge and experience to mentor suppliers in the use of disciplined problem-solving tools such as 8D
- Strong data driven and visual reporting skills, ensuring quantified status and risk is
- Team player with the ability to work independently and under mínimal
- High level experience and knowledge in the use of MS Word, Excel,
- Excellent prioritising, organisation, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
