**Hays is now recruiting for a Band 5 Substance Misuse Nurse**

**About the role:
**You will be expected to deliver a high level of comprehensive care to people with drug and alcohol related problems to their families in Thurrock, Essex.

Hours of work **:Full-time up to 37.5 hours per week, between Monday to Friday Core hours are from 9am - 5pm; but negotiable according to needs**

Location: Thurrock, Essex

Number of post: 1

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provision of drug and alcohol treatments to Service Users.
- Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to individuals.
- Supporting service users through their treatment journey from beginning to end.
- Provide clinical interventions such as BBV's, wound care, vital signs, phlebotomy, ECG's, BBV investigations.
- Carrying out alcohol and drug detox program supported by a specialist recovery nurse using the appropriate AUDIT and withdrawal scales.
- Keeping up-to-date and accurate records and documentations.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- Professional registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience of clinical practice with experience with Substance Misuse Service Users (Drug and Alcohol)
- Currently working or experience as a Band 5 Nurse (RGN or RMN)
